It is also a helicopter with history, and loved by pilots and mechanics !
As long as Queen Beatrix flies the Alouette III it will remain in service
A Cougar mechanic even switched to the Alouette for nostalgic reasons !
 
It's a fine machine to see and to fly, we once had a photo flight in this type...
                   
The 'Royal' logo on the seats of the Alouette III and a celebration badge shown
...but what will happen when Prince Willem Alexander becomes King ?......

'TWEETY' AB412SP  303 Sqn

The Bell AB412 is called 'Tweety' after the yellow bird Tweety the strip-figure
    
Seeing this above seems like big fun, but these men and women do risk their lives to save others !
The Tweety is based here at F-16 Leeuwarden AFB. Placed on a lorry to transport in the hangar 
Any moment of the day can implicate: SAR alarm, saving lives !! Keep up the good work !!
