ZLIN
Z242L - TRAINER |
The
trainer looks very nice, and is used in larger numbers and in two types |
As
you see, rain was ours, but that's life.... one of the facts a
photographer cannot change |
R |
Though
appreciated, it's the question how long these Zlin's will remain in
service |
Major
Ales Stimec thinks ahead, what would suit the financial and political
aspects best ? |

BELL
- JETRANGER 206 |
Reliable,
quit, economical, for the small jobs. Observation, VIP's, you name it |
In
the new hangars you can see that Slovenia proves to be on NATO standards |
We
were treated on a flight with the Jet Ranger to photograph the fire
fighting exercise |
The
helicopter is comfortable, and to be used on very tiny spots if neccessary |
One
last look in the hangars as we say more often: 'Like surgery rooms so
clean !' Well done ! |

FLIGHT
IN THE PILATUS PC-9
To
write about it you have to fly it ! |
So
our author Kees Otten got explained techniques, and he mounted the Pilatus
PC-9 ! |
Instruction
about how to eject just in case... and hoping for some sunny shots |
But
when zero-hour came, it rained cats and dogs again ubfortunately |
Never
the less: Give it a go ! Happy landing Kees ! |
The
PC-9-ers get airborne, and air-to-air pictures are made ... |
...
and a fine view on the landscape is a treat. |
After
flying over mountains and villages the runway is in sight and the PC-9's
have touchdown... |
...
meanwhile the photographers had a look at the maintainance
hangars. |
