AN AIRSHOW IS ONE THING, TODAY WE PRESENT YOU 'THE DAY AFTER'
The publication in Aeronautica & Difesa Italy
The day after really is a remarquable day...
... but don't miss the show as well !
WE'D LIKE TO THANK CZECH AIRFORCE FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY ! |
||
This is how we found the base in the morning, a small-sunny platform, people starting up their jobs
Every single airplane will be checked, prepared, loaded, all precautions will be taken for a safe flight
Here you see the ALCA team of the Czech Airforce
Planes need to be refuelled, personal stuff on board...
It's quite a job before an airplane is ready to go airborne
A view on both the Hungarian and Czech Antonov's 26
The Polish freighter has to return some more, they load the cargo of a complete demo-team !
On the west-side platform the fighters are preparing as well...
The USAF starts up slowly, they're the ones that will depart on the end of the day
Activities around the AWACS, and the Belgian F-16-MLU taxies to the runway
The Geilenkirchen Sentry is ready to depart, waiting for a signal from the tower
The Czech are very pleased with their Gripens, this one will return to Caslav
The Belgian Demo-flight pilot Mickey Beulen taxies along...
The Gripen has almost been filled up...
Fighters still carry on, at page 3 we'll show you the beautiful German 'Boelcke' Tornado later on !
A day in general where the airbase seems to be a beehive of departing planes. Hungary starts the process...
And while the Czech Gripens depart, the Hungarians follow minutes later
Sometimes it's quite a job to be able to follow it all with the camera's
But as you see the results are worth while !
The BAE Hawk is being towed up, check and double check...
It's such a very busy day, starting engines everywhere, and departing planes and helicopters
The Czech prepare their Hinds well, and off they go to the homebase Prerov, east in the Czech Republik
